Eve was born to Trevor Eve (actor) and Sharon Maughan, a writer. Jack along with George are her brothers. They were raised throughout London in United Kingdom as well as Los Angeles. She went to Bedales School, and took A-Levels in London's Westminster School. She took English in St Catherine's College Oxford during the gap year. She attended Oxford to take part in student productions that included An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers and The Colour of Justice. Eve is known for her performances in BBC TV series The Rotters Club Poirot, Hawking and Stage Beauty. Eve played important roles in two of the films released in 2006: Starter for 10 & Big Nothing. She was born into a family of mixed races, having and Indo British father Anthony Mitra of British descent as well as an Irish-born Irish mother Nora Downey. The English actress has a middle age child. She is the older sister of Jason Mitra and a younger brother named Guyan Mitra. Her younger brother Guyan Mitra, is an acclaimed journalist who was featured within Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
